T Decision After Report: PM

Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh today said that a decision on the demand for separate state of Telangana prime minister dr. manmohan singhwill be taken after the Justice Sri Krishna Committee submits its report to the Government.

Speaking to a BJP delegation which met him in Delhi, the prime minister said that the government would recognize the sentiments of the people and take a decision on Telangana taking into consideration their sentiments. “A decision will be taken only after the submission of the committee report,” Manmohan told the BJP leaders.

The BJP leaders, led by its senior leader Venkaiah Naidu met the prime minister and submitted a memorandum seeking introduction of a Bill in Parliament for separate Telangana state.

Venkaiah naidu later told newsmen that the Telangana issue could not be decided with committees and introduction of the Bill is the only solution for it. Meanwhile, state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy told journalists that they will undertake a protest programme tomorrow before Parliament demanding the government to introduce the Bill on Telangana.
